About Us
Get On brings together public and voluntary sector staff to help people get the most out of services and opportunities on offer in Edinburgh.
Our focus is people who are on a low income and are currently not taking up all, or any, of the opportunities available.
Get On Network
The network includes community workers, care staff, guidance workers, librarians… anyone who works directly with the public. They join the network to keep abreast of what’s on offer for the people they help, make new contacts and take advantage of our training opportunities.
This website is the main way we provide information and communicate with our network. To get the most out of it, register to join the network. We also publish an annual printed guide to learning, volunteering, training and employment. Email us for a copy.
Get On Bus
The Get On Bus parks up a community events and locations. It is staffed by a team of network members offering a range of expertise to people passing by.
Get On Info Points
These are the first port of call for anyone who wants to know where to find the services they need. They’re located at different venues across the city (e.g. drop-in centres, libraries, colleges).
Organisations become a Get On Info Point because it helps them provide a better service. They get free training and access to Caselink lite, our Client Management Information System.
We aim to have a Get On Info Point within easy walking distance of every Edinburgh citizen. Contact us if you want to be one.
